Michelle Homa has worked and studied broadly and extensively across Psychology, Business, Executive and Life Coaching, Innovation, Disruption and Business Strategy. She holds a portfolio of business interests and became an inaugural recipient of the $60million LaunchVic Innovation Fund in 2016 to improve business innovation outcomes for Australians locally and globally. Michelle established Coach & Co Pty Ltd in 2005 to deliver quality, and strategic, leadership, workplace and lifestyle coaching throughout Australia. She supports businesses during times of growth, change, challenge and opportunity on their most signiﬁcant and urgent goals.
Michelle provided some practical strategies in maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
Head of Communications, Australia
Loulou Hammad commenced with Bombardier Transportation in 2015 and today holds the position of Head of Comunications for Australia. Loulou is an outspoken, passionate advocate for the rail transportation and manufacturing industry, and a key ambassador for Bombardier in Australia and Asia Pacific. She is accountable for strengthening and protecting the strategic identity and positioning of the organisation, with a focus on aligning Bombardier’s business capabilities with the needs of customer and industry.
Loulou Hammad will share her personal story about the need to ‘work smarter’, not harder. In particular, she reflects on a difficult period in her career prior to joining rail where an anxiety attack sent her to hospital, only to see her back at work 4 hours later. Loulou discovered when moving to Bombardier, and seeing the demands of the rail industry and her role within it, that her biggest challenge would be to not burn out. The rail industry needs the best versions of everyone.
Loulou provided some useful tips on career development and leadership - things she has learned the hard way and highlight the need to look after yourself in order to excel at your job.
